White Sky

Industrial IoT and Connected Operations

Useful connected operations begin with a measurement that supports a decision. White Sky brings sensing, connectivity and operational data into one scoped engineering plan.

Start with the operational question

Identify the asset, condition or event to be understood and who will act on the information. Energy use, equipment condition and environmental observations may need different sensors, sampling and calibration approaches.

For buildings, consider metering, HVAC and occupancy context. For industrial operations, consider machine signals, asset status and the link to maintenance or production systems. A dashboard should reflect reliable data, not conceal missing measurements.

Connect the site to the data

  • Sensing: measurement range, accuracy, location, power and maintenance access.
  • Connectivity: edge gateways, protocol interfaces, network coverage and isolation boundaries.
  • Data: asset naming, timestamps, quality flags, retention and access ownership.
  • Operations: dashboards, alert thresholds, escalation and integration with existing systems.

Alerts need an operating response

Define who receives an alert, how it is acknowledged and when it is escalated. Condition monitoring can inform investigation or maintenance, but predictive claims require suitable history and validation.

HSE-related monitoring may support awareness and reporting. It is not a replacement for certified safety functions, approved detection systems, site procedures or competent risk assessment. Agree these boundaries explicitly during design.

Integrate without creating another silo

Interfaces to MES, ERP, CMMS or building systems depend on available protocols, permissions and data definitions. Begin with a bounded connection and acceptance criteria for data quality and response before expanding across more assets. Software licensing, hosting and continuing support are project-specific.

Project questions

Can you use our existing sensors?

Potential reuse depends on condition, calibration, interfaces and available documentation. The assessment identifies where existing measurements are suitable and where new sensing is needed.

Can we connect inspection robot data?

Potentially, subject to platform access, data formats and the receiving system. Define asset identifiers, useful readings and the workflow that follows an observation.

UAE roots. International enquiries welcome.

Based in the United Arab Emirates, we welcome enquiries for Dubai, Abu Dhabi and other emirates, as well as international projects. Cross-border sourcing, delivery, integration and support are assessed per project; worldwide field support or regulatory approval is not assumed.
